Time To Put Up Or Shut Up |

It was inevitable, no sooner had the final whistle blown in last Saturday's Irish Cup Final, the moral crusaders were out in force decrying that any success over the last 3 years has been as a result of the contract to use Windsor Park for internationals.
An achievement last done in 1893, 12 years before Windsor Park even opened.
It does seem strange, that a contract signed in 1984 has only now started to become a bone of contention.
People have had 24 years in which to appeal and do something about it.
While they're at it, perhaps they should investigate the agreements between Manchester United and the FA for hosting England matches while Wembley was being renovated, or the agreement between the GAA and the FAI over the use of Croke Park.
That's just neighbouring countries. Scour the world and you'll find many similar agreement between clubs and governing bodies over the hosting of matches.

Andy Conn, known as Linfield FC's 'Mr Politically Correct' and seen matchday circling the pitch, looking after mascots and any pre-match entertainment thats been organised.

The man who has taken the brunt of the flack has been Jim Kerr, who was noticeably invisible at the weekend when others of the Management Committee were on the pitch for the glory, and.. the PR.
It's clear that with the AGM coming up next week, these MC members are trying to win the hearts of the fans who they want to re-elect them and this is where the hypocrisy lies.
The removal of the Windsor Roar CD because it had 'My Aul Man'... [Read More]

Over the past 2 month's Linfield Football Club and their fans have been dragged through the muck and had their/our good name tarnished by those whose 'Hatered' for our Club is there for all too see.
This weekend (3/5/08) will go down in the history books for generations to talk about. The last time it was completed was 114 years ago, so I'm guessing not 1 person alive yesterday have seen Linfield win the treble double. And for 7000 other Linfield fans including myself to have witnessed it is unbelieveable. David Jeffery has come into some unwanted critisicism in the past season but credit where credit is due, the big man has put himself and 27 other Linfield players (players who featured in the playing squad during this season) in the history books buy achieving the unachievable. Great managers have long past since 1894 when we last won the treble double and no doubt Great mangers will pass through the doors of Windsor Park before it is ever completed again, so this...
